Our Bloke – Henry Stockman-Ellis

How long have you lived in or around Forbes and what do you like about living here? I actually live in Parkes, but I lived in Forbes previously for 15 years.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about where you work? I work at Club Forbes. I enjoy meeting new people from near and far.

What do you do to unwind on weekends? I don’t get weekends off but if I did I’d spend it with family.

What are you really good at? Being a dad to my son.

What’s your pet hate? Dishonesty.

What’s on your bucket list? To travel around the British Isles.

What’s your favourite drink? Coors.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? Teleportation, so I can get to my destination then and there.

Tell us about your best holiday ever… I can’t remember the last time I had a decent holiday.

What makes your day? Getting home and hearing my son call out dad.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself… I’ve been working at the club for 14 years.

How long have you lived in Forbes? I don’t actually live in Forbes, I’m currently living in Peak Hill NSW and travel to Forbes five days a week to work and back. I’m looking to move to Forbes but having big difficultly finding a rental property for myself and my family.

What was your first job and what do you do now? My First job was KFC Hume Highway Liverpool NSW, but now I am newly promoted to Marketing Manager of Domino’s Forbes.

What makes you laugh the most? At work, our pizza rushes can be very difficult and very hard at some period of time’s but myself and my team are always laughing and always having fun. My juniors at the store are a great bunch.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? Travel the world and check out other Domino’s stores and learn different and better operational ways to improve our four stores in Central West owned by William Cody.

Describe your dream holiday? Travel with my family around Australia and having no access to phones.

What’s your favourite childhood memory? Getting my first motorbike on my 18th birthday, a Kawasakii Ninja 300 2015 Black Model from my harded earned savings.

If you could live in any time or place, where would it be and when? I don’t know to be honest.

If you could share a meal with three people past or present who would it be? My pop who passed away on 4 August 2012, my dad who I haven’t been able to see for a very long time and CEO of Domino’s Australia.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Slow down time.

What is your pet hate? I don’t have a pet hate.

Our Gal – Renee Ryan

How long have you lived in Forbes? 32 out of my 37 years.

What was your first job you had and what do you do now? I had a few shifts as a kitchen hand for a local restaurant. Nowadays I help people get the very things that they want out of life through coaching them.

What makes you laugh the most? I have the most random ideas that I think are great. Some of which turn out to be complete train wrecks to be honest.

If money was no object to you what would you do with your time? I would always be looking to serve humanity in some way shape or form. Where there are problems, there are solutions needed.

Describe your dream holiday? White sandy beach, crystal clear water, villa on the beach. Absolute bliss!

What’s your favourite childhood memory? Games of backyard cricket and tackle footy with my cousins at my grandparents house on school holidays. Best times of my life without a doubt and we made some great family memories.

If you could live in any time or place where would it and when? The Woodstock Festival held in August in 1969 (in upstate New York) on Max Yasgur’s dairy farm in Bethel, New York, 40 miles southwest of the town of Woodstock. Not the Woodstock near Cowra.

If you could share a meal with 3 people past or present who would it be? Gene Simmons, John Lennon and Dolly Parton.

If you could have one superpower what would it be and why? The power of persuasion. I think it would be great and extremely useful.

What is your pet hate? When people see injustice and do not stand up against it.

Our Gal – Danni Lippiatt-Byrne

OUR GAL: Danni Lippiatt-Byrne has only lived in Forbes for about 12 months after growing up in Western Australia.

How long have you lived in Forbes? I wasn’t born here and have lived in Forbes for only a year so far and am really enjoying it.

What was your first job? My first job was as a customer service cashier at Red Rooster growing up and now I work at Acheson’s Mitre 10 in Forbes.

What makes you laugh the most? Anytime that laughing is inappropriate. I always laugh when I shouldn’t.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? Definitely travel more. I love to travel when and where I can. It’s great.

Describe your dream holiday? Backpacking around Europe for sure. It is certainly the dream holiday. Even more so now that no one is able to travel at the moment overseas.

What’s your favourite childhood memory? My mum’s apricot chicken – amazing!

If you could live in any time or place where would it be and when? Here and Now. Being in the present.

If you could share a meal with three people past or present who would it be? My family in Perth. It would be great – I love them.

If you could have one super-power at all what would it be? I have always been fascinated with and interested in time travel so I would have to say time travel would be my preferred superpower.

Can you describe what your pet hate is? Being nominated to do these things of course!

Our Bloke – Adam Molloy

How long have you lived in or has it been since you moved to Forbes? I have lived my whole life here in Forbes. Forbes is home.

What was your first job and what do you do now? Bernardi’s IGA packing veggies though now I run my own business Adam Molloy Carpentry.

What makes you laugh the most? My kids a lot of the time. They are funny.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? Permanent holiday of course. It would be great as you would never have to stay in the same place twice.

Describe your dream holiday? I would love to travel Australia. So many places to see and things to do.

What’s your favourite childhood memory? I loved camping and fishing throughout my childhood and still do. I still go out camping and fishing any chance I get.

If you could live in any time or place where would it be and when? Definitely the 1980s. Good music and great cars. I was also a 1980s baby.

If you could share a meal with three people past or present who would it be? Billy Connolly, Chuck Lidell and Geoff Toovey. Would be an interesting dinner if I could get a word in.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? I’d love to be able to teleport. Any parent knows this is the one skill we all need.

What’s your pet hate? I hate liars. Can’t stand them. You never ever know where you stand with a liar or what they’ve lied to you about.

What was your first job? My first job was out at the all-nighter on the West Wyalong road.

What makes you laugh the most? Family and Friends having a good time.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? I love to travel.

Describe your dream holiday? I would love to go to Las Vegas.

What’s your favourite childhood memory? I have a heap hanging out with my cousin Tracey we were always up to something.

If you could live in any time or place where would it be and when? Right now is good time for me as I have my granddaughter.

If you could share a meal with three people past or present who would it be? My Dad, Jimmy Barnes, Luke Combs.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Invisibility – that would be interesting.

What’s your pet hate? Rude people it costs nothing to be nice.

Our Bloke – Jeremy Markwort

How long have you been in or lived in Forbes? On and off my whole life. I was born here.

Out of everything, what makes you laugh the most? Good comedy movies especially Adam Sandler. His movies are great and really crack me up.

What do you do for a living? I am a Bogan entrepreneur and running an online page called Bogan’s World on Facebook where we profile everything bogan.

If money were no object, what would you do with your time and money? Buy a paddle steamer and float down the Murray River of course. Why not?

Describe to us what is your dream holiday? Amsterdam in the Netherlands – it would be amazing. Rich in history and diversity and very laid back over there.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your life? Be humble. Still the best advice I ever received to this day.

If you could live in any time or place where would it be? The 1980s. Exciting time. It was right at a time when we were on the cusp of big technological advances and developments in society. Would’ve been awesome I think.

If you could have dinner with anyone past or present who would it be? Eric Bana as he is one of my favourite Aussie comics from his Poita days, Charlie Manson and Greg Norman – The Great White Shark. He was phenomenal and I always liked watching him play.

If you could have a superpower what would it be? X-ray vision.

What is your pet hate? Rude people. There’s no need for it. Be kind to people and treat them as you want to be treated. It’s that simple.

What was your first job? Chester The Chick!

What makes you laugh the most? Probably my partner and daughter.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? Pack up and travel with my family, anywhere and everywhere!

Describe your dream holiday? Anywhere coastal, would love to go up north around Cairns.

What’s your favourite childhood memory? That’s a hard one! I don’t think I could pin point any one time to being my favourite. We grew up on a farm which I loved, every day was like a new adventure.

If you could live in any time or place where would it be and when? The 1980’s.

If you could share a meal with three people past or present who would it be? Any of my lost loved ones.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Invisibility.

What’s your pet hate? People who chew with their mouth open.

Our Bogan – Luke Acheson

What do you do for a living? Supervisor for a waste management company when I am not organising festivals.

What makes you laugh the most? Having a good time with mates.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? Go on a bender like Gavin and Brenda!

Describe your dream holiday? June long weekend at the Bedgerabong Racecourse!

Best advice? If you want something said get a man, if you want something done get a woman.

If you could live in any time or place, when or where would it be? 1970s Australia.

If you could have dinner with any three people past or present who would they be? Jim Morrison, Bear Grylls and Paul Hogan.

If you could have a superpower what would it be? Aside from selling 1,000 tickets I’d want two livers.

What is your pet hate? An empty fridge.

What makes you laugh the most? My son always makes me laugh.

Describe your dream holiday? An overwater bungalow in the Maldives.

What is a favourite childhood memory of yours? Hanging at Nan’s.

If you could live in any time or place, when or where would that be? Back in the 60s.

If you could share a meal with any three people past or present who would they be? Both of my Nan’s and my son.

If you could have a superpower what would it be? Telekinesis would be cool.

What is your pet hate? Liars and theives.
