Autumn Night Competition
The Autumn Night competition for both mixed and ladies’ teams will play the grading game this week. Any teams wanting to play in the competition and not yet entered should email the team entry to Secretary Monica email secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com, or take it to the office on Wednesday night. Teams must be entered by this weekend to be able to play in the competition.

Adjourned AGM
The adjourned AGM of the Forbes Netball Association will be held on Thursday, 19th March at 7 pm at the Forbes Services Memorial Club. The planned February AGM could not be held due to a lack of a quorum.

AUTUMN NIGHT COMPETITIONS 2020
The format for the Autumn night competitions for both mixed and ladies’ teams were set at the General Meeting on Thursday. Team nomination forms can be downloaded from the FNA website, with the first grading to be held Wednesday night, 26th February. Ladies may play in both mixed and ladies’ teams, on the same night. Everyone is urged to come along and enjoy the fun of the night competitions.

FORBES ALL AGE CARNIVAL
The Forbes All Age carnival will be held on Sunday, 3rd May. This carnival has been operating since the association was formed in 1975, and, according to past teams, is one of the best organised carnivals in the region. Age groups are from 11 years to open ladies. Many extra helpers will be needed to help make the huge day another great success.

FORBES GALA DAY 2020
The Gala day, which was extremely popular in 2019, will again be held in 2020, bigger and better. A date in August will be finalised at the February general meeting.

FORBES REPRESENTATIVES 2020
The Forbes Netball Association has entered the Open representative team in the West/Central West Regional League Divi- sion 2. The team is training weekly and has already improved. The Open representative team will play the first round of games in Orange on Sunday, 1st March. A date for the Representative Information Day was finalised at the meeting on Thursday night. More information will be available next week. Players turning 12, 13, 14, 15 and 17 will need to apply for their respective age groups. Players must be turning that age in 2020.

Finals Results
A high standard of netball was on display last Wednesday night, when the finals of the Forbes Netball Spring Night competitions were played in both ladies and mixed competitions.
Ladies competition: Hughes & Co defeated Chunky Pies 44-29.
Mixed competition: Gundamain Guns defeated RBCC 43-24.

Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting of the FNA will be held on Thursday February 20 2020 at 7 pm at the Forbes Services Memorial Club. Applications for Executive and committee positions close one month prior to AGM. All applications should be emailed to Secretary Melissa email secretary. forbesnetball@gmail.com

Entries for the FNA Autumn night competitions for both mixed and ladies’ teams close at the monthly meeting to be held immediately after the AGM. The competitions will run from February until June 2020. No competitions will be played during the school holidays.

The Forbes Netball Association will play the Finals of the Spring Night competitions for both mixed and ladies’ teams this week. The two top teams on the point score ladder will play off.

Best and Fairest points have been added for the season and the awards will be presented to players this week. Presentations will be held immediately after each final is played, and the Best and Fairest awards will also be presented. If for some reason the finals cannot be played, the teams that finished first on the ladder will be declared the winners.

Two social games will also be played this week, before the finals.

All players must have played three games with their team to be able to play in the finals.

Last week, two teams did not supply umpires for their duty of one umpire per allocation. Both teams lost two competition points. Ruff Neck Ring Inns and FPS Teachers must pay their $50 fine each, for not supplying an umpire for the first time. Payments can be made at the office on Wednesday night.

Ladies competition: Hughes & Co, Chunky Pies, Trundle Hotel, Postie Hotel, Ruff Nek Ring Ins, Not Fast Just Furious.

Mixed competition: Gundamain Guns, RBCC, Van Hotel, FPS Teachers, Aggies,

Straya Mate, NSG to Postie, Couples Retreat, Swampies.

Carmen Jelbart, Kally Molloy and Marg Spackman took part in the FNA Umpiring Program.

This is the final week for Forbes Netball Spring competitions for both mixed and ladies’ teams.

Next week the two top teams on the point score ladder in each competition will play off for first and second place.

Any teams willing to play next week should come to the office on Wednesday night to be included into a draw.

All players in the finals must have played three games with their team to be able to play finals.

If, for some reason the weather is unsuitable to play, the team that finished first on the point score ladder will be declared the winner.

Thank you to the helpers
The FNA Committee would also like to thank all the volunteers who have helped run the competition. Thank you to the umpires who have umpired every week. Thank you also to Vanessa, who has organised the office duties, so games can be played on time.

The women from Forbes Dragonboat team partnered up with the Canberra Ice Dragons to win gold for the 2nd year running at the Western Region Regatta.

The last meeting for 2019 for the Forbes Netball Association will be held Thursday, 21st November at 7pm at the Forbes Services Memorial Club.

Each Spring Night Competition team must be represented and will receive two competition bonus points.

A reminder that the 2020 FNA representative applications close on 20th November. Applications are invited for players for the open representative team to compete in the West Central West Regional League, representative coaches, assistant coaches and umpires for NNSW Regional League, NNSW Senior State Titles and NNSW Junior State Titles 2020.

The Forbes Netball Association is preparing for the 2020 representative season by calling for applications from players (opens), coaches and umpires.

Representative player nomination forms can be downloaded from the FNA website, and must be emailed to Melissa at secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com by 20th November.

All applications for Representative coach- es and assistant coaches 2020 will be considered and should be emailed to Melissa at secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com by November 20.

All umpires are encouraged to apply, and must state their National badge, or working toward their National badge, and their WWCC number. Applicants must email Melissa at secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com by November 20.

Congratulations to Kally Molloy who last week gained her FNA bronze umpire certificate, after joining the FNA Umpire Development program earlier in the night competitions.

Last week, NSG to Postie did not supply an umpire for their allocated duty and must pay the $50 fine before they can play this week. The team gives their opposition a five goal start in their next game, and will lose 2 competition points. All teams must look very carefully through the draw for the occasional umpire duty.

The Forbes Netball night competitions for both mixed and ladies teams had some very exciting games last week.

Now that the new term has started, a reminder to all players, that all fees must still be paid before they can play in the games.

Registration includes the registration to NNSW and FNA, which can be done online, plus the $40 competition fees per player per team, which can be paid in cash at the office. Players cannot play until all fees are paid. Thank you.

Representative coaches, umpires and players 2020
The FNA committee is calling for nominations for 2020, for representative players (Opens playing Regional League), coaches and umpires to represent FNA at Regional League, Junior State Titles and Senior State Titles.

All nominations must be emailed to Secretary Melissa at secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com

Anyone wanting information about any of the positions should email Melissa, and all nominations will be considered.

Coaches and umpires must also include their WWCC number on the application.

Representative Players Opens Team 2020
The Forbes Netball Association (FNA) is calling for applications from players to represent the FNA in the Open team to compete in Regional League 2020. The representative nomination form can be downloaded from the FNA website and must be emailed to Melissa, Secretary, by November 20. Email: secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com. The Regional League will be held over three Sundays in Orange early 2020, with dates to be confirmed next week.

Night Competitions
Last week saw a shaky start, with a small

drizzle of rain before the games started at 6pm. Unfortunately for our farmers, the weather cleared quickly and all games were able to be played.

Last week, Not Fast Just Furious did not supply an umpire for the first time, for their umpire allocation and must pay the $50 fine before they can play this week. The team will lose 2 competition points and give their opposition this week a five-goal start.

All teams only have to supply one umpire when allocated and will have support from a badged umpire when doing their duty. Without umpires, the games cannot be played.

All teams must read through the full draw for umpiring duties.

Forbes netballers return this week, welcome back to all players and umpires. The Forbes Netball monthly meeting will be held October 17 at 7pm at the Forbes Services Memorial Club. All teams must be represented and will receive two competition bonus points. Agenda items must be emailed to Secretary Melissa at secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com.

Team representatives must update their team nomination forms this week at the office on Wednesday night.
