#Montefamousreview: Anna O – Reckoning: Reckoning, Anna O’s latest release, is a brilliant blend of electronic, pop and RnB. Each track is filled with emotive audio imaging that is brought to life magnificently by Anna O’s powerful voice. The music has a deep pulsating beat and ingeniously crafted melodies that complements the lyrics being delivered so purely. While some of the tracks have a darker pop feel about them, Anna O still delivers a positive message. Reckoning is an EP that you can put on any time day or night and feel good about what you’re hearing, it’s the perfect EP to relax to. Let Anna O’s superb vocals tell you a musical story.

Battye Street Update: Battye Street reconstruction continues with significant progress being made despite excess rain falling earlier this month causing delays. The rainfall caused multiple soft spots in the pavement which needed rework.

“The earthworks have now been completed and the pavement has been placed leaving pavement stabilisation works, final compaction, and trimming to be completed prior to sealing,” said Forbes Shire Council General Manager Danny Green. “We understand the works are an inconvenience to some. But the aim with Battye Street is to do the job once and do it right so the road serves us well in years to come.”

@Montefamous Review Matt Allen – Last Time

Matt Allen is a soulful R&B singer from Western Australia. His new EP “Last Time” is a great blend of R&B and Pop. Matt’s voice is effortlessly smooth throughout the EP. The beat and melodies complement the vibe of the EP perfectly, creating a chilled and easy to listen to mix of songs. You can hear the influences from the WAAPA Gospel Choir, which Matt founded, having a strong positive impact on this EP. The blending of new and old R&B on “Last Time” has you wanting more and hitting the repeat button. “Last Time” will have your toes tapping and your head nodding. Matt Allen’s “Last Time” is a must listen.

Healthy Harold:

In Weeks 1 and 2 of this term the Life Education Van came to Forbes North Public School with Healthy Harold, who talked to each class about health and safety. Most children enjoyed Healthy Harold and would like him to come back next year. The school is grateful to everyone who made the visit possible.

@Montefamous Review Sabrina Lawrie – Hush the Mountain

Sabrina Lawrie’s solo debut album “Hush The Mountain” is a brilliant exploration of how the combination of rock and pop can create a dark, brooding, and breathtaking sound. Sabrina Lawrie’s voice explodes into your ears and sweeps you away with stories of life, nature, outer space, and the lessons that life can teach you. The emotion that Sabrina is able to express during this album will give you goose bumps. I found myself audibly gasping at the unleashing of Sabrina’s vocal skills. “Hush the Mountain” is an album that keeps giving the more you listen to it, and it’s the #Montefamous must have album for August.
