How long have you lived in Forbes? 23 years.

What was your first job? Chester The Chick!

What makes you laugh the most? Probably my partner and daughter.

If money were no object what would you do with your time? Pack up and travel with my family, anywhere and everywhere!

Describe your dream holiday? Anywhere coastal, would love to go up north around Cairns.

What’s your favourite childhood memory? That’s a hard one! I don’t think I could pin point any one time to being my favourite. We grew up on a farm which I loved, every day was like a new adventure.

If you could live in any time or place where would it be and when? The 1980’s.

If you could share a meal with three people past or present who would it be? Any of my lost loved ones.

If you could have one superpower what would it be? Invisibility.

What’s your pet hate? People who chew with their mouth open.

What does International Women’s Day (IWD) mean to you?

March 12, 2021 by Maggi Barnard

Monica Steffan: International Women’s Day for me is a reminder of what it’s like to be a woman. From what we as women have been through, are going through and still have left to do.

Jacinda Acheson: It’s a day that represents the empowerment and independence of women.

Michee Lyn Ramsteadt: I get to celebrate being myself – an independent woman.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes and what do you like about living here? I’ve lived in Forbes for 21 years since 2000. It’s so peaceful here and the people are so welcoming and friendly. There’s also an ease of access with everything here in Forbes such as services. Originally from Ungarie.

What do you do for a living? Hobby farmer. Love getting out amongst it. I won’t retire til they put me in a box.

What makes you laugh the most? Plenty of things.

If money were no object, what would you do with your time? Agriculture. It is my passion and always been a huge part of my life even since I was a child. I love being amongst it.

Describe your dream holiday? Any break is a good break. Especially when you can go on a holiday

Best advice? Never give up.

If you could live in any time or place, where and when would that be? Here and now is fine by me though any other other time in history would have been interesting too.

If you could share a meal with any three people, past or present, who would they be? My daughter, Ken Rosewall and Ash Barty. I love tennis especially at Australian Open time during our summer and I love my daughter.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Cancel Daylight Savings.

What is your pet hate? Daylight Savings. Can’t stand it or see the need for it. Serves no benefit and only makes people tired in my view.

If you could bring one thing to Forbes what would it be?

February 26, 2021 by Maggi Barnard

Renee Ryan: A vending machine specifically for homeless. Giving these people free access to bottles of water, fruit, toothpaste, toothbrush, toiletries and feminine hygiene products. I lived on the streets of Brisbane for 2 months when I was 17. This would have helped a lot.

Carlos Alpacca: I would like to see a sushi train restaurant that serves iced cold beers.

Megan Byrnes: Aside from me (jokes) some more live music!
