April 7, 2016 by Maggi Barnard

What do you think about Daylight Savings ending?

Cody Banks

Cody Banks – I don’t like that daylight savings has finished. I liked being able to do heaps of stuff after school before it gets dark.

John Schrader - Copy

John Schrader – I like the fact that it has finished. I think it starts about three weeks too early and finishes about three weeks too late.

Rachel Wythes

Rachel Wythes – I like it. My husband is home earlier and we can have dinner before 9pm.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes? I have lived in Forbes for 20 years now, which is my whole life.

What do you enjoy the most about living in Forbes? I love the people here and the community in general. People are friendly, and the community stands up for itself. Forbes is also very pretty to look at. People often visit and comment about the appearance of the town.

What are your long-term goals? I would like to sell farms and become a rural real estate agent. I would also like to travel and see the northern lights.

Where would your dream holiday be? I would love to go up to England and see the beautiful countryside and history they have up there. I’ve always wanted to go there.

Where would your dream holiday be to? I’ll always go to the Northern Territory for a fishing trip. I love it up there. It’s great for barramundi fishing.

What do you do in your spare time? I love fishing. I go out to most of the local
dams and lakes around the Central West.

Have you been enjoying the cooler weather of late?

Rosemary Spackman

Rosemary Spackman: I am very glad to see the cooler weather. I don’t mind temperatures if they sit around the 30 – 35 degree mark but don’t like it much hotter than that.

Karyn Glennan

Karyn Glennan: I am loving the cooler weather. I would love summer if it was this temperature all the time with no humidity. The humid weather of late has not been enjoyable at all.

Al Carroll

How long have you lived in or around Forbes?
I actually live on the road, and have done so for about five and a half years. Before that I lived in Nambucca Heads on the North Coast.

What do you do for work?
I’ve been in Forbes for the last five weeks setting up the Solo’s rally. I am the site coordinator. I’m a volunteer, and I retired before I became a member of the CMCA Solo’s Network.

What do you do in your spare time?
I just love being on the road. That’s all I do nowadays. But I used to be a keen fisherman and I used to enjoy renovating the houses I owned.

What would be your dream holiday?
I’ve just about been to every single town in Australia, so I’m not too sure to be honest. Later this year I’ll probably end up somewhere north, in Queensland. That would be good.
