Spend time with my daughter April and I race greyhounds.

Seeing my daughter smile when I get home from work.

What is the most impractical Mother’s Day gift you’ve been given?
Bronwyn Horan: A paddlepop stick ashtray holder. I don’t smoke!
Michelle Greenhalgh: I’ve been really lucky, I haven’t received any impractical gifts.
Irene Parker: When my daughter was five she gave me clip on earrings. I have pierced ears, but I still wore them for her.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes? I live in Parkes, and have lived there for exactly 10 years.
What do you enjoy about living in Parkes? It’s such an easy place to live. You always seem to have more time in the country. It’s also a great place to bring up children.
How do you like your coffee? I love a half strength, hazelnut latte with skim milk and no sugar.
Where would your dream holiday be? I would love to go back to Paris, France, which is where my father is from.
What do you do in your spare time? I spend it being a mum. I love spending time with my husband and children.
How do you start your day? I start my day with two pieces of toast with vegemite, and a cup of coffee.

How long have you lived in Forbes? I have lived in Forbes all of my life, which is now 37 years.
What do you enjoy the most about living in Forbes? I enjoy the laid back lifestyle of Forbes. There’s no traffic, and it’s a great place to have a family.
What do you do during your spare time? I hardly have any spare time with work and the boat racing I do, but when I do have spare time, I like to spend it with my family.
How do you start your day? I normally start the day by getting the kids up and ready for school. I then go to work and get organised for the day.
How do you like your coffee? I don’t drink coffee. I love hot chocolate.
Where would your dream holiday be to? My dream holiday, I think, would be a family trip to the United States.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes? I have lived in Forbes for 49 years.
What do you do for work? I am the Executive Assistant at Forbes Shire Council. I have been working there for 27 years now.
What do you enjoy most about your work? I enjoy the variety of community issues, the change overs in councilors and staff, and achieving goals with the people that I work with.
How do you start your day? I get up at 7:45am and make a coffee, and then I organise all of the appointments for the day at work.
What do you do in your spare time? I like to read, watch sport, and catch up with my friends.
How do you like your coffee? I like having a half strength, skim cappuccino with no sugar.
What makes your day? Meeting deadlines and achieving goals as a team at work makes my day.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes? I have lived here for exactly 16 days, 12 hours and five minutes! (At the time of writing on Wednesday). But I have been visiting Forbes for the last 35 years due to my family relations.
What do you enjoy most about living in Forbes? I am impressed by the resilience of the town, and the strong ‘can-do’ attitude people here have. It’s a vibrant town, and a pretty river town. Lots of things happen here and the community has a great sense of pride.
How do you drink your coffee? I drink it white with one sugar.
Where would your dream holiday be to? I am going to be living my dream holiday in August when I travel to the UK with my wife. I love the history of the UK and I can’t wait to go over there and see it all. I’ll also get to find out more about my Scottish ancestry in Perth, Scotland, and am
going to see the Edinburgh Military tattoo.
Question of the Week?
What do you think about Daylight Savings ending?
Cody Banks – I don’t like that daylight savings has finished. I liked being able to do heaps of stuff after school before it gets dark.
John Schrader – I like the fact that it has finished. I think it starts about three weeks too early and finishes about three weeks too late.
Rachel Wythes – I like it. My husband is home earlier and we can have dinner before 9pm.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes? I have lived in Forbes for 20 years now, which is my whole life.
What do you enjoy the most about living in Forbes? I love the people here and the community in general. People are friendly, and the community stands up for itself. Forbes is also very pretty to look at. People often visit and comment about the appearance of the town.
What are your long-term goals? I would like to sell farms and become a rural real estate agent. I would also like to travel and see the northern lights.
Where would your dream holiday be? I would love to go up to England and see the beautiful countryside and history they have up there. I’ve always wanted to go there.

How long have you lived in or around Forbes? I have lived in Forbes for about 14 years. I lived in a few places before then, but I grew up in Lake Cargelligo.
What do you do for work? I am the manager/director at Tyreright Forbes.
What do you enjoy most about living in Forbes? I really like the community in Forbes. It’s very close and passionate, and it’s a nice place to live.
How do you drink your coffee? I like having a cappuccino with one sugar.
Where would your dream holiday be to? I’ll always go to the Northern Territory for a fishing trip. I love it up there. It’s great for barramundi fishing.
What do you do in your spare time? I love fishing. I go out to most of the local
dams and lakes around the Central West.

What do you like most about long weekends?
Dylan Gunn – Having my entire family home together and penalty rates at work when working on public holidays.
Sam Tyack – Going out with my mates who have come home for the weekend and not having to worry about getting up early to go to work.
