Be Seen @ Parkes High School TAFE Yes Program

This week our year 10 students explored metal fabrica­tion/welding as part of the TAFE YES Program. 

Many thanks to TAFE teacher, Jack, who taught the girls how to plan then create a very nice candle/jewelry holder. 

We commend our students for trying new things and exploring different skills and career pathways.

NAIDOC week saw FPS students celebrating with other local schools and connected to culture with book read­ings.

 


The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead.

 


Forbes Public School students were thankful to be invited to Forbes North Public School for an opportunity to con­nect through culture.

Be Seen @ Parkes Public School NAIDOC Celebrations

Parkes Public School held their annual NAIDOC celebra­tions, with plenty of special guests and helpers to make the day special.

 


Brad Holmes entertained with his amazing didgeridoo performance, and commenced the assembly with the Welcome to Country.

 


Thanks go to staff for their support in peparing these performances and working on NAIDOC art to decorate the hall.

Be Seen @ Forbes High School Slumber Party

As a highlight of Spirit Week, last Thursday night was the ‘Slumber Party’ school disco, dressed in their coziest and warmest pyjamas.

 


It was a fabulous evening filled with dancing that strengthened friendships and created lasting memories.

 


A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible staff who participated, ensuring that the students had an unforget­table experience.

The RBCC community celebrated Champagnat Day with a whole school Mass, followed by an Awards Ceremony, where we acknowledged students and staff.

 


Champagnat Day is a memorable and enriching experi­ence that contributes to every student’s personal and spiritual growth and academic success.

 


The Day holds great significance as it allows RBCC to honour and reflect upon the values and ideals that the school is built upon.

The students were very creative with their presentation, then enjoyed their creations after displaying them.

Stage 3 boys Cultural Group set up their brand new fish­ing rods last week for a spot of fishing.

 


Thank you to Brett from NSW fisheries for teaching the boys about our native fish and the Wiradjuri language associated with our waterways.

 


GJ caught his first fish EVER – thank you to the boys who let him reel in the first catch of the day.

The winner of the Most Elegant Lady category in the Fashions on the Field is Elizabeth Paterson from Griffith.

 


Most Stylish Man category at this year’s Fashions on the Field was the stylish Luke Clyne from Parkes.

 


Best Dressed Couples category in the Fashions on the Field. It was Rhondda and Warren Cochrane from Leeton.
