Be Seen – St Laurence’s

It is with immense pride and excitement that we introduce the St Laurence’s Sports Captains and Vice Captains for the 2024 season.

 

They shoulder additional responsibilities, including mentorship, team coordination, and fostering a culture of collaboration.

 

These captains bring a spirit of responsibility and care .

 

Let’s rally behind our captains, recognising the weight of their responsibilities, and support them in making the 2024 year a fantastic experience .

Be Seen – B Grade Basketball Comp

Safe to say the competition has started out a huge hit.

 

Extra huge thank you to the volunteer referees we had helping.

 

Thank you to the huge number of kids getting behind this, and the parents for bringing them.

Can’t wait to see what you boys can do in the 2024 season. Lets Go Magpies.

 

Signings for our 2024 First Grade side continue. Magpies have been hard at work recruiting new players for the season ahead.

 

Our longest serving member Robin Pols had the honour of Pre-season has well and truly kicked off so lets make sure we all get along to training every week and put in a massive effort.

 

Our tiny town is overflowing with great young talent and Forbes Magpies have been lucky enough to snag a few of the boys for next season.

Be Seen – Generocity Church

It was so good to gather together on Sunday.

Our Kids Church kicked off and there was a great deal of energy and excitement.

BE SEEN – Forbes Croquet Xmas Luncheon

Croquet Club Christmas Luncheon 16th December l.

 

The shortbread Christmas trees made by Irene Ford for each person in attendance at the luncheon.

 

Our longest serving member Robin Pols had the honour of cutting the cake which was made by Elvy.

 

Tables were beautifully decorated by Irene, Cheryl and Elvy.

 

Be Seen – PHS SRC Christmas Day

There was Christmas joy in the air on our SRC Christmas Day recently .

 

Students dressed up in Christmas clothes and accessories to spread the Christmas cheer.

 

SRC created a very cool Christmas photo wall and provided music and games .

 

A year full of wonderful activities thanks to thank Ms O’Leary, and her SRC members .

BE SEEN – PFNPS Kinder Last Day

Kindergarten students had a wonderful last day of school .

 

They visited the kitchen and made special reindeer biscuits.

 

Well done, Kindergarten 2023. We look forward to seeing you in 2024 .

 

Be Seen – PHS Bro Speak Club

PHS Bro Speak had a cultural cook up recently.

 

The boys cooked whole snapper, kangaroo and crocodile sausages, kangaroo steaks, crocodile tail and made some fresh damper.

 

This was an amazing opportunity to learn how to prepare a whole fish, and cooking delicious traditional foods.

Year 6 had a fun cooling down day at the Forbes pool.

 

They played, ate lollies and had sugary drinks and played some more.

 

Year 6 ended this week exhausted.

Final muster for 2023 held Sunday 10th December .
