Flint Tropics Team To Beat Heading Into Finals

Flint Tropics will take an imposing undefeated record into the business end of the Forbes Basketball Association competition. Tropics, who stand well clear of defending champions Misfits by some four games, have been on fire and it will take a monumental effort to stop them.

Misfits meanwhile have been staggering to the line and only recently beat an under-whelming KMS 33-31 despite the latter being out of play-off contention. If Misfits are to win it will surely rank among their best ever feats of which there are many. To do so they will need to refind their mojo and shut down the mercurial Justin Hoy of Flint Tropics.

While their form and personnel changes have been disruptive, Misfits still sit second and loom as the biggest danger to Tropics. They will need a big lift from their second unit if they are to do what no other team has done to Flint Tropics this season.

Netball Autumn Night Comp Finals To Begin

The Forbes Netball Autumn night competitions for both mixed and ladies teams will play finals on June 9 between the two top teams on the point score ladder in each division and competition.

Teams are asked to please check at the office this week to see if your team has made the finals. The presentations for the competitions will be held immediately after each final game is played.

The night competitions will have a break over the colder winter months and return for the Spring nights. Thank you also to the umpires who have done more than their team allocations, or have no teams in this competition, but volunteered to help with umpiring.
