A very big thank you to tall of the amazing garden members who gave up their time and came and helped out in the garden.

Morning tea was great with a rockmelon identifying as a cucumber and a yummy new tomato, grown by a member.

Forbes Riverside Community Gardens is a place where people can come together to learn about growing food.

It was an awesome Australia Day at Parkes Pool – from pool games and volleyball to a relaxed afternoon swim, a free BBQ and a poolside movie to wrap up the night.

It was great to see the community come together and make the most of the day. A huge thanks to everyone who attended and helped create such a great atmosphere.

And a massive shout-out to the Parkes Aquatic Centre staff who delivered another fantastic event for the Parkes community.

A beautiful morning spent in Lions Park for the 2026 Australia Day Community Breakfast.

Forbes local Australia Day events were proudly funded by the National Australia Day Council.

Each year, visitors to the Amazing Forbes Street Breakfast embrace the festive atmosphere.

These visitors had an ‘Amazing’ time at the Forbes Street Breakfast.

Elvis Festival visitors flock to Forbes each year to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the annual breakfast event.

The ELVIS street sign was a popular photo spot for festival goers in 2025.

The coordinated and themed outfits are so eye catching and fun to see each year.

This group was festival ready and having the absolute time of their lives.

Thanks to all those who supported the annual Parkes Action Club Parade and Carnival.

Entertainment was fantastic with the Parkes Town Band, School of Dance, Parkes Dance School and Easygoin.

Despite the heat everyone had a great time in the cool of Cooke Park.

Members of the Rotary Club of Forbes Ipomoea would like to thank the Forbes Community for once again supporting our annual Christmas Tree Festival.

Several people commented that this annual Festival is a great way to commence the Christmas Season in Forbes.

All of the money raised will be given to Havannah House Ministries. A massive thank you to everyone who go involved.

The final Parkes Christian School MADD Night of 2025 was chaotic and fun.

As usual, there were some great groups in bands, duets and trios.

Even art took the stage this year, with some awesome upcycled and wearable art.

Forbes High School recently had the pleasure of welcoming Year 6 students from various primary schools for Year 7 Transition.

This was a fantastic opportunity for them to explore our school over three days and prepare for their exciting journey into high school.

Staff and students are eagerly looking forward to welcoming the new Year 7 students to Forbes High next year.
