To Hell And Back

April 6, 2017 By editor

Brothers 4 Recovery were in Forbes last week with their inspirational yet spine chilling message.

The honesty of Ed Daley, Steve Morris and Jeff Amatta is beyond brave as all three men have been to hell and back with alcohol, drugs and gambling addictions.

As clean and sober men their mission now is to empower communities and youth to implement the tools to recovery.

Ed’s message is don’t waste your life! He said it was dancing that helped in his recovery. “I needed it for my soul.” Ed completed Certificate IV Community Service and is working as a support worker.

Steve who is ashamed his addiction led him to “lie and steal to feed my filthy habit”. He challenged everyone to “find that why in your life.”

“I turned into the man I didn’t want to be,” said Jeff. “I started drinking very young and before I knew it I was injecting even though I feared needles.” His advice was to con- centrate on education and be with positive people.

In the words of Brothers 4 Recovery: “If we want a good life we need to do good things.”
