This Saturday Is Mack’s Day Again

This Saturday, 17 October, grab some mates and head to Pioneer Oval at 11:30am to watch the Parkes Boars Colts team v Mack’s Mates. It is a game of rugby organised to raise awareness and funds for The Mack Label.

The Mack Label is a clothing brand that was started by Kylie and Warrick Mitchell after their son Mack passed away from suicide. They started the brand to help with awareness and they donate some of the money to a variety of charities and organisations.

Last year the Parkes Rugby Club held Mack Day, which was a celebration dedicated to Mack, who played colts at the club. Unfortunately, the team Colts were set to play on the day had to forfeit at the last minute, but the old boys and Mack’s mates stepped up to get the game going.

Parkes Rugby Club President Mackenzie Green said, “The plan is for us all to have a bit of a get together at Pioneer/Spicer oval the morning of the Mack Ball, it is the best time of year to run this as most of Mack’s friends and family will be back in town to have another run.

“We are holding this event to keep that tradition we started last year alive and continue helping our young players and Mack’s mates know there are people around them if they need it.”

The Parkes Rugby Club will be selling the jerseys worn on the day for $150 post game and donating all funds to the Mack Label. Players of the colts team will get first pick since they are wearing the jerseys on the day so it’ll be first in best dressed for the remainders Check out The Mack Label at: www. themacklabel.com.au and see you you at Spicer Oval on Saturday.
