Forbes High School held their annual swimming carnival during February. The day was a huge success, with many students participating and challenging themselves to do their best. The school spirit and the house leaders’ enthusiasm to encourage all students to do their best and get involved, was commendable.
Senior students led the way with a novelty race to begin the day’s proceedings and ending the carnival was another highlight, which is the annual belly flop competition.
Tara Morrison, Forbes High School Sports Coordinator was extremely happy with the day’s events. “Our students really stood out this year, especially our senior students stepping up and entering all races. It really was fantastic to see.”
Students who swam on the day competed against one another, not only to get personal best times but also for the title of Age Champion.
