Our Bloke – Clint Hurford

June 24, 2022 By Maggi Barnard

How long have you lived in or around Forbes and what do you like about living here? I’ve lived in Forbes all of my life and love Forbes because of the sense of community and how everyone seems to support each other.

Where do you work and what do you enjoy most about where you work? I’m the co-owner of C & D Floorcoverings which has been operating since 2009. I love the sense of achievement when a job is completed and the happy faces of our customers.

What do you do to unwind on weekends? I like to play golf, spend time with my family and also don’t mind a quiet beer in the shed with friends and family.

What are you really good at? I think that I’m pretty good at making people laugh, at least I hope so.

What’s on your bucket list? I’d like to be the Manly Sea Eagles mascot for a day.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself? I can remember my first day of school.

If money was no object, what would you do with your time? I would play golf, watch sport and Seinfeld reruns.

What was your first job? A paper boy for Nock’s Newsagency when I was 12.

Tell us about your best holiday ever? I went to the State of Origin in Perth and watched NSW beat Queensland.

How are you involved in the community? I coach the Forbes Magpies U14 league tag team.
