BACK IN THE SADDLE: Riders of all ages and abilities converged on Forbes on the weekend for MX and DT events. After numerous setbacks the day was a resounding success. Pic courtesy of FASC and Nic Pic NSW.
Generation Next razzled and dazzled the crowd with some top-notch riding as the Forbes Auto Sports Club (FASC) enjoyed two days of racing for the first time in months with MX and DT events keeping riders of all ages and levels busy all weekend.
On the Saturday MX there was a huge turnout of riders. Forbes Auto Sports Club committee members and volunteers were on hand to assist as entrants ranged from four years old right through to adults. The junior riders especially put on a show, with most unable to ride in a race day environment as often as they’d like, they certainly made up for lost time on the weekend!
While there was the odd tumble, all competitors came away from the day well. Anyone that had a little off “the FASC wish you a speedy recovery and can’t wait to see riders back at Forbes at their next events!”
Sunday’s DT got through four blistering rounds of action before sharp showers and more inclement weather unfortunately forced the cancellation of the remainder of the day’s program. Despite that, riders certainly had a busy day on the track with PBs aplenty.
The Forbes Auto Sports Club released in a statement on their Facebook page that they will all be having a couple of weeks without any events but endeavour to plan their calendar as best as they can in the interim.
“Rest assured our committee will be working in the background, planning when and what our next events will be! So until then keep safe and we will post on our Facebook page when we know what is happening.” Forbes Auto Sports Club.
