On Friday 16 October, a group of Forbes and Parkes women made their way to Charlestown in Newcastle to compete in the 2015 Netball NSW Masters competition. For some of the ladies, this was not their first time competing at this event, but for others it was their first time.
The Over 35s Social Division proved very popular this year with 17 teams entered and divided into two pools. Other divisions contested over the two days of competition were Over 45s Competitive, Over 45s Social, Over 40s Competitive, Over 40s Social and Over 35s Competitive.
The team combined well even though many of the players had not played together before, winning 8, drawing 1 and losing 1 over the two days.
Unfortunately their loss came on the last game of the competition, pushing them into third position overall. All the teams were competitive which made for a very enjoyable weekend. Best and Fairest was awarded to Karina White
and Monica Murray being named Players Player of the tournament and Lara Dwyer took out the Coach’s Award for the weekend.
