Low Scores In Par Event

March 2, 2017 by Maggi Barnard

Last Saturday’s 4BBB Par event saw a field of 25 pairs with Doug Churchill and Peter Barnes recording the winning score.

Laurie O’Connor and Phil Duke’s score of +9 made them runners-up from a field of 40 players. Doug and Peter’s score was +11.

The ball sweep went to +7, including those above plus: B Parker/ D Culley; P Grayson/ G Coles; B Shine/ P Nixon; M Spice/ R Nix- on, who all scored +7.

The NTP’s went to: 9th – P Grayson; 18th – G Drane.

The Lachlan Valley District Final of the Keno NSW Fourball Par is set for 6th August at West Wyalong.

The Sunday Stableford Medley saw ten keen players strut their stuff with the win- ner Ray Taylor scoring 37 points. Runner-up was M McGlashen from Parkes with a creditable 36 points.

There was no ball sweep but the NTP’s were awarded to: 9th – B Carpenter; 18th – R Hey (Parkes).

Last Sunday, Forbes teams once again sallied forth in this year’s CWDGA Pennants at the Parkes Golf Club.

The Division 1 team was sadly out of form, losing to Cowra 4/1. The Division 2 team had a 3/2 win over Duntryleague. The Division 3 team lost to Cowra 3/2.

The Division 4 team has made it to the semi-finals with a good 3/2 win over Cowra. Richard Smith, S French and S Grallelis had wins. T Howe was unlucky to lose and F Hannes battled well.
