The French Rugby League side played the Western Rams in Parkes last week to a packed crowd. The Western Rams included two Forbes Magpies players: Ben Maguire and Mitch Burke. It was a tight game, especially towards the end with France winning 22 – 20. “This fixture provided the country boys of the Western region a cherished opportunity to test their mettle against their international counterparts,” said Peter McDonald, Western Rams Rugby League Chairman.
