Forbes Sheep Sale

Conducted 16/02/2016

Yarded 30502 including 22099 lambs . Lamb quality was again very good with plenty of heavy lambs included. There were also 4000 merino lambs . All the usual NSW and interstate processors were represented but prices, as expected, eased. Prime crossbred and merino heavy lambs were $5 to $6 cheaper and trade weights eased $3 to $4 compared to last week’s sale.

Extra Heavy Lambs (over 26kg)
$135.00 to $184.00

Store Lambs
$65.00 to $111.00

Heavy merino Lambs
$126.00 to $138.00

Trade weight Merino Lambs
$99.00 to $130.00

Hoggets
$74.00 to $115.00

There were 8403 grown sheep and prices recovered last week’s fall in values with a rise of $4 to $6 compared to last week’s sale.

Woolly Merino Ewes
$72.00 to $116.00

Shorn merino Ewes
$66.00 to $101.00

XB Ewes
$70.00 to $103.00

Light Sheep
$17.60 to $72.00

Merino Rams
