Yarded 39718, including 29922 lambs. Lamb quality was again very good and heavy lambs were once again in the majority. There was increased competition from a large field of NSW and interstate buying orders. Heavy lambs were $6 to $9 dearer and extra heavy lambs sold $10 to $15 dearer and more in places. The trade and light crossbred lambs lifted $5 to $7. All other descriptions were also dearer compared to our last sale on 19th January.

Heavy merino lambs

Trade weight Merino Lambs
$96.00 to $119.00

Hoggets
$95.00 to $116.20

There were 9796 grown sheep yarded and prices improved by $4 to $6 for light and medium weight sheep and as much as $8 for the heavier grades.

Woolly Merino Ewes
$72.00 to $116.00

Shorn merino ewes
$65.00 to $92.00

XB Ewes
$70.00 to $110.00

Light Sheep
$36.60 to $59.00

Merino Rams
$65.00 to $88.00
