Forbes Sheep Sale

Conducted 30/06/2015

Yarded 38150 including 33677 lambs. Quality of the lambs on offer was good with prime lambs of all weights in good supply. Competition was very strong from a larger than usual field of buyers and trade / light export lambs improved again to be $3 to $5 dearer. The few pens of new season lambs were $5 to $7 dearer. All other lambs held firm compared to last week’s sale:

Extra Heavy Lambs
$160.00 to $208.00

Lambs 23-26kgs
$146.00 to $171.00

Trade weight Lambs
$117.00 to $158.00

Store Lambs
$83.00 to $119.00

Heavy Merino Lambs
$136.00 to $163.00

Trade weight Merino Lambs
$114.00 to $135.00

Hoggets
$114.00 to $135.50

There were 4473 grown sheep yarded and prices remained fully firm compared to last week’s dearer sale:

Merino Wethers
$94.00 to $152.60

Merino Ewes
$91.00 to $138.00

XB Ewes
$85.00 to $132.00

Light Sheep
$40.00 to $96.00

Merino Rams
$94.00 o to $98.00
