Forbes Croquet

July 6, 2017 by Maggi Barnard

The cold weather hasn’t deterred local Cro- quet members. The Club still has plenty of players arriving each day for some good scoring games. Most of the strong scores are coming from newer members, so a big pat on the back for everyone.

Congratulations to Joan Littlejohn and Veva MacCullagh, who scored hat tricks at Golf Croquet last Tuesday. Congratulations also to John Cole, Dorothea Croker, Col- leen Liebich, Evelyn Mahlo, Bob Murray, Kevin Rubie, Harley Stewart, Ken Styles, and John Allegri, with two wins each.

Aussie Saturday 1st July

Depite the sub-zero night temperatures, Saturday turned on the sunshine for some great croquet. It was lovely to see mem- bers Elvy and John back from their holiday. John turned up inspite of battling the flu, which proves that you can’t keep a good croquet player down.

Members with three winning games were Dorothea Croker, Alec Todd and Lyn Sim- monds. John Allegri, Cherylin Cole, Veva MacCullagh, Bob Murray, Libby Smart, Harley Stewart and Barry White each came up with two wins.
