Forbes Croquet Club members, Mervyn and Ula Langfield celebrated 70 years of married bliss on Tuesday, 21st February 2023.

At Aussie Corquet on Saturday morning, 32 players started playing at 8:30am to get finished before the heat set in. There were five players who won five games: Noel Jolliffe, Jeff Liebich, Harley Stewart, John Browne, and Barry White. 

Big winners on the day were: Alex Todd and Tony Thompson 14 Bruce Field and Lyn Simmonds 9. Haley Stewart and John Allegri 14 Robin Pols and Lorraine Todd 9. Barry White & Noel Jolliffe 14 May and Allan Jones 9. 

Close games included: 

• Harley Stewart and Jeff Liebich 14; Doreen Rodgers and Peter West 13 

• John Allegrt and Allan Jones 14; Vince Roberts and Robin Pols 13

• Vince Roberts and Tony Thompson 14; Neville Spry and Ros Rennick 13 

• Vince Roberts and Fay Picker 14; Ros Rennick and Sandy Hepburn 13

• Lyn Simmonds and Noel Jolliffe 14; Bruce Field and Kevin Ruby 13.
