Croquet Catch-Up

Results for Golf Croquet for the week ending on Saturday, 26 September 2020.

There were thirty-six players on Tuesdays Golf Croquet. Three follow-ons would just about be a record and the line-up of cars was impressive. The game is certainly becoming more popular. Forbes Croquet Club welcomes all new members to share the happy few hours on the courts.

After croquet, players had a lovely cake for one of their older members. It was a great moment for Merv Langfield, who has just achieved the milestone of his 90th birthday, well done to Merv.

There were only three players who won three games: Merv Langfield, Jeff Liebich and Neville Spry. The closest games on the day were:
• Judy Ellis and Kevin Rubie 7, defeated Dorelle Scott and Colleen Liebich 6.
• Bob Murray and Jeff Liebich 7, defeated Joan Littlejohn and Lorraine Todd 6.
• Evelyn Mahlo and Geoff Coles 7, defeat- ed John Farah and Sandy Hepburn 6.
• Jeff Liebich and Geoff Coles 7, defeated Joan Littlejohn and Elvy Quirk 6.
• Merv Langfield and Neville Spry 8, defeated Sally Perry and Judy Ellis 5.
• John Job and Jenny Job 7, defeated Marie Spry and Alec Todd 6.
• Dorelle Scott and Mal Smith 7, defeated Tony Thomson and Denny Smith 6.
• Bob Murray and Veva MacCullagh 7, defeated John Browne and John Allegri 6.
• Elvy Quirk and Joan Littlejohn 7, defeated John Farah and Lyn Simmonds 6.
• Libby Smart and Alec Todd 7, defeated Jill Rubie and Ray Burridge 6.
• John Browne and Mal Smith 7, defeated Kevin Rubie and Ray Burridge 6.
• Merv Langfield and John MacCullagh 7, defeated Dorelle Scott and Veva MacCullagh 6.
• Jeff Liebich and Tony Thomson 7, defeated Bill Scott and Veva MacCullagh 6.

Aussie Croquet on Saturday, 26 September was cancelled.
