Croquet Catch Up

Golf Croquet
It was very pleasing to see the Club President, Elvy Quirk, looking well after her recent surgery. Tuesday, 1 December saw 31 players for Golf Croquet. The winners of three games were John Browne, Bill Scott and Harley Stewart.
Good wins were 11 to 2 from John Browne Ray Burridge against John Farah and Marie Spry, and 10 to 3 from John Allegri and John Browne against Ray Burridge and Merv Langfield. Some close games were:
• Evelyn Mahlo and Denny Smith 7, defeated Alec Todd and Neville Spry 6.
• Harley Stewart and Kevin Rubie 7, Mal Smith and Sally Perry 6.

Aussie Croquet
It was a warm yet cloudy day on Saturday for Aussie Croquet where 31 players joined in, scoring some close games.
• Colleen Liebich and Sandy Hepburn 14, Elvy Quirk and Ros Rennick 13.
• Colleen Liebich and John Cole 14, defeated Robin and Pols Merv Langfield 12.

The Forbes Croquet Club will hold a Christmas luncheon and presentation of prizes on Tuesday, 15 December at 12pm in the Vandenberg Hotel. The last day of play for the year will be on Saturday, 19 December, with Croquet resuming on Tuesday, 12 January 2021.
