What do you like most about long weekends?

Dylan Gunn – Having my entire family home together and penalty rates at work when working on public holidays.

Sam Tyack – Going out with my mates who have come home for the weekend and not having to worry about getting up early to go to work.

Simone Inder – Relaxing and catching up with family and friends.

Have you been enjoying the cooler weather of late?

Rosemary Spackman: I am very glad to see the cooler weather. I don’t mind temperatures if they sit around the 30 – 35 degree mark but don’t like it much hotter than that.

Karyn Glennan: I am loving the cooler weather. I would love summer if it was this temperature all the time with no humidity. The humid weather of late has not been enjoyable at all.

What do you enjoy most about travelling?

What I like most about travelling constantly is the freedom of the lifestyle – Mary Chapman.

I love travelling because you get to see all of the wide open spaces that Australia has to offer – Robyn Bancroft.

What are your plans for Easter?

Verdel Maclean – I haven’t even thought about Easter yet! I’ve been way too busy!

Michele Morley – I am looking forward to having all of my family home, my two boys will be home from Uni and we will probably go fishing and do some quiet activities around the home.

How did you spend February 29, which only happens every four years?

Nathan Murphy- I just spent it at work, and after work I played a basketball match.

Fiona Hayward- I spent February 29 opening my new store Eyewear Specs.

Jenny Cutler- I spent it working, giving blood, and mourning the end of summer.

How are you planning to spend the last two weeks of Summer?

Judy Prior – I am heading to Fiji so I will be getting my bags packed and preparing for my holiday.

Joy Russell – My son is getting married at the end of February so I am getting ready for the wedding and looking forward to catching up with the family

Allison Hearn – Just trying to keep cool, plan my next overseas trip and make sure my travelling buddy doesn’t break her leg again and we have to cancel the holiday.

What do you like doing in Forbes on the weekends?

Jenna & Anita Redfern: We are usually skiing on the weekends but I (Anita) like to take photos at local events.

Lauren Leibich & Erica Baker: We both usually work on the weekends but do play hockey in the winter and try to attend as many interesting community events as we can.

Do you thinks Forbes can put on a good show or event?

Yes, I think Council can put on good shows for the community. Kirah Beaumont.

Yes, we can do it. There are some good spots for them. Rad Stevens.

Are you looking forward to school going back?

Carmen Jelbart: I have had a couple of mini trips away with my children – Canberra for general site seeing, the movies and shopping – Jamberoo Action Park we had perfect weather, loved all the rides and thought I was a kid again. Yes, in a way, I am looking forward to school going back so that I can get back into a routine but will miss the
freedom of not having to be in a specific place at a specific time.

Toby Hurford & Talis Hurford: We went to the Central Coast – boogie boarding and fishing were the big highlights. Undercooked steaks cooked by our brother, Corey’s girlfriend was not the best but she tried. I (Toby Yr 9) am not really looking forward to school, would much rather stay at home and do what I want with no homework especially History. Talis is going into Year 6 and is looking forward to catching up with his friends at school next week.
Tom Toohey: I had a great time in the holidays, 9 days at Manly and went to the Big Bash Cricket matches. I can’t wait to get back to school next week, I am going into Year 9 and am looking forward to doing my elective classes.

What did you do to stay cool during the high temperatures of this week?

Amanda Edmonds – Took a refreshing dip in the river whilst fishing with the family on the Lachlan River after work.

Rebecca McNabb – I took the kids to the Forbes Water Park whilst visiting friends here this week. I come from Orange and they do not have anything like it we usually go to Lake Canobolas on a hot day at home.

Kay Playforth – Go to the local swimming pool for a swim of course, there is no other place I would rather be and I don’t really like air conditioners that much.
