Bogan Gate CWA News

February 22, 2018 by Maggi Barnard

After having a relaxing break from meetings and spending time celebrating Christmas and watching the tennis and cricket, Bogan Gate CWA were pleased to have eight members present at their February meeting.

President Marion McIntyre welcomed Maria Buchanan to the meeting and Gail McKay gave the thought ‘A joyful heart makes a cheerful face’.

The branch has much planned for this year, which includes the hosting of the Oxley Group Handicraft/Land Cookery Day on Tuesday, 6th March.

They will again be hosting the annual Bridge Day between Forbes, Parkes and Condobolin on Sunday, 15th April. They are also very pleased to welcome back to Bogan Gate, the Orange Male Voice Choir appearing on Sunday, 3rd June at 1.30pm.

Planning for this event is well underway and many visitors to town wanting to hear some wonderful singers are expected.

Although it seems like busy times ahead, there will always be lots of laughs and friendship and some hard work.

The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 15th March at 1.30pm at the hall and any new visitors are most welcome to join.
