Croquet News And Results

February 22, 2018 by Maggi Barnard

Week ending 17th February

It’s hard to believe that we’re almost finished with the second month of the year.

February is known to be the hottest month and I’m happy to report that we’ve had some lovely fresh starts to our games over the last week. I hope they continue.

The club is proud to welcome our newest member John Job, who is shaping up to be a pretty good player after only two games.

Members are advised that on Tuesday, 27th February, there will be a general meeting after the games. Depending on the weather, this will take place on Halpins Flat at the club grounds or in the Uniting Church Hall.

Clean sweepers this week for Golf Croquet were Libby Smart, Mal Smith and Barry White. For Aussie Croquet they were Judy Ellis, Robin Pols and Jill Rubie, and for the first time Anne Stewart. Congratulations everyone.

The club is looking to welcome new players for 2018 to join a friendly and supportive bunch of people on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

Come along and watch and have a chat about the games to some of our long standing members. When you’re ready to play we have plenty of mallets that we’re happy to loan you.
