Parkes Clean Future Alliance

October 22, 2026 by Roxane Manley

A report on proposed Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities has been tabled in Parliament.

Parkes Clean Future Alliance: The NSW Parliamentary Select Committee report into proposed Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities has now been tabled in Parliament. This inquiry examined issues surrounding energy from waste in NSW, and its findings and recommendations are important reading for communities facing proposals such as the one here in Parkes. For our community, this is an opportunity to examine the evidence, understand the committee’s findings and consider what they mean for the proposed Parkes Energy Recovery Facility. Our community deserves a thorough, transparent and evidence-based assessment of a project with potential implications for our health, environment, agriculture and the future of Parkes.
