Golfers Scoring Below Expected

July 25, 2024 by Short Putt

Marcus Inder, Nick Inder and Kailab Tyne are prepared for their game.

On Saturday field of 70 turned out for the Mens golf event, a 2-Person Ambrose, sponsored by Hassall Trading P/L. The Scratch winners were the pair of Tim West and Steve Betland. Their score of 68 needed a count back to get the win. Unlucky Runners-up were Alf Davies and Phil Duke who needed on shot less on the back-9.

In the Handicap, Brianna and Carolyn Duncan combined for a worthy 65 nett. But they also fought off a count back, pushing Alf Davies and Phil Duke into another Runner-up spot.

The NTP’s were: 9th – Men: B Parker, Ladies: H Davidson; 18th – Men: B Ashton, Ladies: S Crosby. The Pro Shop Super-pin, went to Sean Brindle whose shot was a long way off but the only name on the sheet. The ball sweep went to 71 nett on count back. The visitors came from Trundle, Caragabal and Parkes.

A reminder for the Trundle Open on Aug 3&4, and the Temora Open on 10th and 11th August. And do not forget to Register for the PGA Scramble to be held on 1st September. This weekend the comp is an 18-hole 4BBB Stableford Medley, vying for the Hawke Trophy, and there is the Stableford Medley on Sunday.
