Are you ready for Netball Season?

April 21, 2023 by Roxane Manley

Netball season is only one week away, all players must be registered with NNSW and pay their $20 competition fees. There are players looking for teams, and any teams needing players should email the Secretary.

Saturday Junior Netball

Saturday netball will start up on 29th April for all boys and girls. Woolworths NetSetGo will be played at 9:30am for all boys and girls aged five years and up. Junior skills and games will be played at 10:30am for all boys and girls aged from 12/13 years and under.

The two groups of players can be mixed with the older NetSetGoers and the younger juniors, to give some players two full hours of netball fun. Anyone can come along on 29th April and try the sessions before they register. NetSetGo and junior skills and games sessions are run by accredited coaches with help from any parents who would like to volunteer.

Saturday netball will continue until 26th August with a presentation and celebration of the season, and then the Regional NetSetGo and Junior Mixed Gala day will be held on Sunday 27th August.

Regional Carnivals

Everyone is reminded that regional carnivals are starting, with the Orange carnival on 23rd April. The Bathurst carnival is on 30th April. The Forbes all age carnival is on 7th May, and there has already been a huge response from associations across the state entering teams. All players must be registered with NNSW to be able to play in regional carnivals. Any boys or girls wanting to play in these carnivals should contact secretary.forbesnetball@gmail.com
