Forbes junior cricketers are looking forward to a big game in two weeks time.
Forbes U14s had a great win last weekend against Cowra/West Wyalong in the Lachan competition semi-final at Grinstead Oval.
Batting first, Forbes were in trouble early at 5/28 before Cayden Metzeling (17 runs) and Max Hazell (27 runs) steadied the ship with outstanding batting on a very difficult wicket. Forbes we’re all out for 106 in the 34th over.
Cowra were all out for 88 in reply but batted for 36 overs, and things were certainly tense at times with some good partnerships.
Dempsey O’Connell picked up a hat-trick in his second over to finish with 3/25 (7 overs) and Mac Glasson got 3 wickets in his third over and bowled 4 maidens in his 3/9 (8 overs).
All players put in a great effort and kept their concentration going the whole game. The team are looking forward to the final against Condobolin in Forbes in two weeks time.
