Croquet Report

June 24, 2022 by Pegging Out

We had 25 players for Aussie Croquet on Saturday on a very foggy morning, we even had trouble seeing the courts on arriving. There were two players with three wins, Merv Langfield and Jeff Liebich.

Big wins were:

• 14 – 8 Colleen Liebich and Merv Langfield, Jeff Liebich and John Allegri, Barry White, John Browne and John Farah.

• 14 – 9 John Browne and Barry White, Alex Todd and Geoff Coles, John Farah and Marie Spry, John Allegri and Tony Thomson.

We had 29 players on a very pleasant Tuesday, which happen to be the shortest day of the Year, so we had to get our games over quickly! There were four winners of three games, Geoff Coles, Lyn Simmonds, Kevin Rubie and Bill Scott.

Big wins were:

• 10 – 3 Peter West and Marie Spry, John Cole and Joan Littlejohn.

• 9 – 4 Neville Spry and John Farah, Carolyn Neilsen and Geoff Coles, Lyn Simmonds and Jill Rubie, Kevin Rubie and Bill Scott, Barry White and Mal Smith, Neville Spry and Geoff Coles, Robin Pols.

That’s it until next week, when the days start getting longer!
