Back On The Green For Croquet Club

Recently, we lost one of our dear players, Lorna Field. She was always a pleasure to be with. When Lorna arrived each morning she brightened up the mornings. Our condolences to Bruce and his family.

We had 26 very keen players for Golf Croquet on Tuesday September 21. There were 4 players who won 3 games, John Browne, John Cole, Mal Smith and Alex Todd.

The big winners were:
• 12-1 Merv Langfield and Colleen Liebich
• 11-2 John Browne and Mal Smith

Close games were:
• John Cole and Bill Scott 7 Lyn Simmonds 6
• Ray Burridge 7 John Allegri and Barry White 6
• Mal Smith 7 Colleen Liebich 6
• Marie Spry and Neville Spry 7 Bill Scott and Bob Murray 6

During the tea break a special Life Mem-bership medal was presented to Bruce Field, for all his help and work he has done for the club over many years, he was very surprised and delighted. Thanks Bruce for all your help.

On Saturday September 25th, 29 players turned up on a very pleasant day for Aussie Croquet. There were 5 players who managed to win 3 games, John Allegri, John Cole, Ray Burridge, Merv Laangfield and Tony Thomson.

The big winners were:
• 14-9 Elvy Quirk and Jeff Liebich, John Allegri and Bob Murray, Robin Pols and John Cole, Jill Rubie and Tony Thomson, Lyn Simmonds and Jeff Liebich

Close games were:
• Harley Stewart and John Job 14 Colleen Liebich and Dorelle Scott 13
• John Job and Merv Langfield 14 Neville Spry and Doreen Rugers 13
