Kristie Carpenter Trophy Day

Sponsor Veronica Rebellato presenting the Kristie Carpenter Trophy to winner Nick Greenhalgh.

On Saturday, the 75 Men’s and Ladies golfers played in the Kristie Carpenter Memorial Trophy, sponsored by good friends Terry Griffiths and Veronica Rebellato.

The overall winner of the Memorial Trophy, presented by Veronica, was Nick Greenhalgh, on count back from Dave Earl and Ben Robinson. Nick also took out the Men’s Division One result finishing on 36 points, on count back from Dave Earl.

The Men’s Division Two went to Ben Robinson on 36 points from Dave Bernardi on 35 points. The Ladies’ winner was Lyn Pollock on 31 points, ahead of Amanda Tooth on 30 points.

The overall ball sweep went to 31 points: 35 J Brett and K Sanderson, 34 A Rees, 33 P Maher and R Borger, 32 J Betland, J Do- bell, T Griffiths, R Scott, S Sallaway, B Parker and B Chandler, 31 Alf Davies, D Bayley, L Pollock, N Duncan, P Wells, T Callaghan and S Kirkman.

Players are to note that we have had approval from the Department of Health to resume self-scanning of score cards. Players must sanitise their hands and continue social distancing.

The West Wyalong Open is on this Sunday, 8 November, with prizes across all grades and a meal to finish with. Players are asked to contact the club to assist in the organising.

Get your name on the Tee Timesheets for the Nissan Classic Saturday 4BBB and Sunday Stroke. Strong support by local players will ensure another successful event.

Do not forget the Titleist Demo day scheduled for Monday, 9 November. Players need to contact Adam at the Pro Shop on 6851 1554 if they want to get in.

Saturday, 7 November is the Monthly medal, sponsored by Jelbart’s Tyrepower. Sunday has the Stableford Medley, and the West Wyalong Open.
