Forbes Business Chamber: Held a great AGM at the Forbes Inn on the 31st July. The New Committee is President – Marg Duggan, Vice President – Michael Jelbart, Junior Vice President – Stuart Thomas, Secretary – Gabe Miller, Treasurer – Kimberly Chudleigh, Returning Officer – Warwick Rolfe and General Committee members include – Ian Bown, Brett Rout, Elle Barry, Alison Uphill, Sheryl Garner and Aaron Acheson. The Committee are looking forward to another very prosperous year and intend to continue to support businesses through the drought. The Forbes
Business Chamber will be offering training, support, events, business visits and networking opportunities to their members. In addition members will have access to legal assistance, human resources and rebates for energy.

Creative Kids Voucher: The Creative Kids program provides $100 for each schoolaged child in NSW to get involved in creative and cultural activities. Vouchers can be used towards registration, participation and tuition costs for performing arts, visual arts, coding, languages, literature, music and other creative and cultural activities within an approved list of activity providers. Across the NSW Central West 70 providers have now registered to accept the vouchers. To apply for your voucher simply head to www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-creative- kids-voucher

Daffodil Day: The Cancer Council is urging Forbes residents to show their support for the Daffodil Day Appeal this August by donating to life-saving research to give more than hope to those affected by cancer. The Daffodil Day Appeal will take place on Friday 23 August 2019 the Cancer Council will be accepting cash donations with pins and fresh daffodils for sale.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CWCU Monthly Sports Achiever: Tayte McNamara has been excelling in a number of sports this year to be nominated and selected as the June Central West Credit Union Monthly Sports Achiever. He has represented his school for Swimming, Cross Country, Rugby League, Touch and Rugby Union as well as representing Forbes for Cricket. Well done Tayte – keep up the great work!
