Over 80 volunteers planted 500 trees and shrubs at the new Parkes Wetlands site.
Parkes Shire Council was proud to partner with Central West Lachlan Landcare Inc, and Fulton Hogan, who donated 500 jute planting squares, stakes, and biodegradable guards.
Local residents turned out in record-breaking numbers on Sunday for National Tree Day.
