Mayor Neil Westcott and Councillor George Pratt joined the Parkes community to commemorate Remembrance Day alongside the Returned and Services League of Australia, Parkes Sub-Branch.
Students from our local schools took part in the service, reading the names of the fallen – a powerful reminder of the sacrifice made by so many.
There was a pause to honour all who have fallen and those who served to protect the freedoms we enjoy today. Lest we forget.
