Successful Forbes Men’s Golf Open

The Forbes Men’s Open was played last Sunday, preceded by the 4BBB Stableford on Saturday. Both days had good fields with the Open contested by over 160 players and the 4BBB by 80 players.

The Forbes Open Overall Scratch winner, and winner of a coveted regional qualifying spot in the NSW Open, was Wil Arnold (Penrith), who finished with 70. Blade Gadd (Concord) and Reid Brown (Pymble) finished on 1-under (71), keeping it quite tense to the very end.

The B-Grade Scratch went to Paul Pymont (86) on count back. Ash Tucker earned the Handicap winner prize with a nett 69, with Terry Griffiths Handicap runner-up on 74 nett. The C-grade Scratch went to Frank Donohoe (100) also a count back. The Handicap win went to Geoff Betland on 76 nett, with Ralph Baker Handicap runner-up on 76 nett.
