Golf Croquet Tuesday September 3rd Once again a large number of players were on the field for golf croquet. We had 6 members who won all 3 games, Bruce Field, John Cole, Veva MacCullagh, Elvy Quirk, Kevin Rubie and Colleen Liebich. History was made as Elvy Quirk and John Allegri won their game 13-0. Following our games we enjoyed a Luncheon at the Forbes Services Memorial Club to celebrate those who have a birthday in September, including, Kevin Rubie, Ruth Cheney, Lorraine Todd and Merv Langfield.
Aussie Croquet Saturday September 7th What a bleak cold day with winds coming from the South Pole. 22 players braved the weather with beanies and coats with two visitors from Melbourne, Alice Whitfield and David Fletcher. After 2 games Elvy suggested we stop for morning tea and go home to our warm houses! Winners of both games were Elvy Quirk, Jeff Liebich, John Browne and John Cole with a very close game played by John Browne and Jeff Liebich 14 against Bruce Field and Geoff Coles 13. Full credit goes to all who play in all kinds of weather!
